Have A MAG Clan? We've Got Something For You

MAG is a multiplayer game that requires teamwork. In other words, it’s a game for clans.

That’s why we’re pumped to announce a new feature specifically for clans in the MAG world: Clanbase.

What exactly is it? It’s a free and easy way for clans that don’t have their own web site and forum, to create one.

Features and Advantages

-A free way to communicate and interact with your fellow clan members. Each clan gets a free homepage and forums.

-Clan leaders can manage clan membership from their homepage. They can accept or reject applications and send invitations to the clan.

- Need to discuss some top-secret strategies for the big match? Clan members have the option to make private postings to their clan page.

-Partnership with the MAG Game Guide web site will give your clan a higher profile. It will be easier to find new members and other clans to scrimmage against.

One More Chance To Play MAG Pre-Release

If you're in Europe and can't stand to the wait until MAG's release, you've got one more chance to squeeze in some beta time. Eurogamer will be holding a MAG tournament on January 20th. They haven't posted details on how to register yet but you can read the original annoucement here.

Journey To The Center Of The Earth, MAG Style

A player falls under the map in MAG and keeps falling and falling and falling. Another thing that Zipper will have to fix before the final release of the game. Unless they change the game's objective to a digging race to China.

Today we've got a new Wiki page with everything we know--which isn't much at this point--about the MAG trophies. We've also updated our video section with a slew of new videos from the beta.

Zipper Releases Teamkilling Fix

Anybody playing the MAG beta this week has gotten killed their fair share of times and not just by the other team. Teamkillers have been a serious problem.

It's root is in the game's featuring of friendly fire. Plus the lack of an easy way to kick TKers.

Until now. A Zipper employee posted today:

A couple links for you this evening. The wiki has a new page introducing you to the acquisition game type. And for the crowd hanging out on the grassy knoll, the video section has a MAG conspiracy theory.

Get Paid To Write About MAG

This site is growing and we could use some help keeping this the greatest MAG resource on the web. We're looking for an assistant editor to help add more useful information to the Wiki and be a helpful presence on the forums.

What would the responsibilities be? Add three new articles to the wiki each week. (I'll work with you to figure out what they should be). Also, you'll hang out on the forums.

Your reward is the pleasure of writing about a cool game on one of the best sites on the Web. And $12 bucks a week. Duration of the job is four weeks.

MAG 101: Know Your Gametypes

The wiki is expanding. Today's lesson is on the sabotage game type. Know something not mentioned there? Any registered user can add to the wiki pages. Just ask if you have a question about how to contribute.
